Questions carriers ask

How old does my authority need to be for ArcBest?

ArcBest's published rule is 30 days of active operating authority. Brokers usually count from your original grant date; a lapse can restart the clock.

What insurance does ArcBest require?

$1M auto liability and $100K cargo, plus $1M general liability. The federal minimum for general freight is $750K, so many carriers need to raise their limit before applying.

Will ArcBest accept a Conditional safety rating?

No. ArcBest accepts Satisfactory or Unrated carriers. Most small carriers are Unrated, which is not the same as Conditional.

How do I set up with ArcBest?

ArcBest onboards carriers through RMIS. Have your W-9, certificate of insurance, authority details and (if you factor) your notice of assignment ready.
