Questions carriers ask
Does Uber Freight work with new MC authorities?
Uber Freight doesn't publish a minimum authority age, so a new authority can apply as soon as it's active and meets the insurance and safety rules below.
What insurance does Uber Freight require?
$1M auto liability and $100K cargo. The federal minimum for general freight is $750K, so many carriers need to raise their limit before applying.
Will Uber Freight accept a Conditional safety rating?
No. Uber Freight accepts Satisfactory or Unrated carriers. Most small carriers are Unrated, which is not the same as Conditional.
How do I set up with Uber Freight?
Uber Freight onboards carriers through RMIS. Have your W-9, certificate of insurance, authority details and (if you factor) your notice of assignment ready.
